How to Become a Volunteer

To be considered for volunteering with the Naperville Park District, you must complete the corresponding volunteer application below and provide authorization to complete a DCFS Background Check.

Volunteers may include but are not limited to students, retirees, families, corporate organizations, scout groups, etc. 

The Naperville Park District reserves the right to decline the services of a volunteer at any time. Please refer to our Volunteer Handbook to review the Criteria for Exclusion.

Prospective Volunteers

Follow the steps below to apply:

  1. Complete the Application that applies to you by clicking the correct button below. (The application will open in a new window of your internet browser. Follow the prompts and complete all required fields.) 
  2. Upon completion of the application, you will receive an automatic email requesting additional information to initiate the DCFS Background Check authorization process.

Volunteer Coach Process

  • During the program registration process, parents/legal guardians are asked to designate their interest in becoming a volunteer coach for the upcoming sport season. Coaches will be determined by the Sport Coordinator of the respective program area prior to the beginning of the season and will communicate all volunteer paperwork requirements needed.
