Drop the devices, get outside, and unplug with the Naperville Park District!

Unplug Illinois is a statewide effort to educate the public on the value of parks, recreation, and conservation. Join the Naperville Park District and Unplug Illinois as we celebrate Unplug Illinois statewide. Click here to learn more about Unplug Illinois. Unplug from your devices and join us for unplugged and engaged fun!

Between July 11, 2026, and July 19, 2026, visit any of the featured Naperville Park District parks or facilities listed below and complete one of the suggested activities at each location. After completing 3 or more parks and activities, fill out the Unplug with the Naperville Park District Check-in Form to be entered for a chance to win one of three $25 Naperville Park District gift cards. 

How to Participate:

  1. Choose at least 3 parks or facilities from the list below
  2. Complete one recommended activity at each location
  3. Submit the Unplug with the Naperville Park District Check-in Form

Participants that visit 3 or more locations and fill out the Unplug with the Naperville Park District Check-in Form will be entered into the drawing for one of three $25 Naperville Park District gift cards. 

Featured Parks & Suggested Activities 

1. Arrowhead Park- 711 Iroquois Ave. 

  • Attend the Concert in Your Park at 7:00 pm featuring Within Four Days
  • Toss a football or baseball with a friend or family

2. Wildflower Park- 2122 Aurora Ave.

  • Identify a wildflower
  • Walk the 1-mile loop around the pond

3. Knoch Knolls Nature Center & Park- 336 Knoch Knolls Rd.

  • Sketch or photograph nature on the trails or at the Russ Pavilion
  • Visit the animals inside the Nature Center

4. East Greens- 249 White Oak Dr. 

  • Find the super-sized spruce tree
  • Kick a soccer ball with friends or family

5. Veterans Park- 303 E Gartner Rd.

  • Read about the park’s history on the interpretive sign
  • Have a picnic in the park

6. Wolf's Crossing Community Park- 3252 Wolf’s Crossing Rd.

  • Try out the Challenge Course
  • Cool off in the Splash Pad

7. Segar Park- 1163 Plank Rd.

  • Take a hike on one of the trails
  • Birdwatch at the Pavilion

8. May Watts Park- 804 S Whispering Hills Dr.

  • Climb to the top of the sled hill (rolling back down is optional)
  • Walk the path around the pond and look for wildlife

9. Tall Grass Lakes- 3320 Rollingridge Rd. 

  • Walk the trail or or fish at the pond
  • Find the Kentucky Coffeetree

10. Central Park- 104 E. Benton Ave.

  • Read a book in the gazebo
  • Find a statue in the park

11. Ranchview Park- 1727 Ranchview Dr.

  • Play pickleball or tennis
  • Run the bases of the baseball diamond

12. 95th Street Community Plaza- 3109 Cedar Glade Drive

  • Play air guitar on the Wagner Pavilion Stage
  • Try out the Fitness Court

13. Foxhill Greens Park- 1635 Brookdale Rd.

  • Play on the newly renovated playground
  • Meditate or do yoga

14. Winding Creek Park- 144 W Bailey Rd.

  • Attend the Concert in Your Park at 7:00 pm featuring The Messengers
  • Throw a frisbee with a friend or family

15. Riverwalk- 443 Aurora Ave.

  • Enjoy a Carillon Concert or Recital (7/11 at 12pm, 7/12 at 4pm, 7/14 at 7pm, 7/18 at 12pm or 7/19 at 4pm)
  • Visit the Paddleboat Quarry Rentals building for a snack (purchase necessary)
