School Classroom Visits - Virtual & In Person

Meet our two reptiles - Shelldon, our Eastern Box Turtle and Flicker, our Western Foxsnake.

  • Includes a live animal*, virtually
  • Offered October 2020 - March 2021
  • For PreK-5th grade
  • Theme/topic:
    • What makes an animal a reptile?
    •  Highlights the features and behaviors of each animal
  • 30 minute presentation in Show & Tell/Q & A style
  • $40 per presentation
  • Up to two presentations per day ($10 discount when two are booked on one day)
  • Additional presentations will require a separate day

* Please note: We cannot guarantee that the turtle will cooperate! He may remain in this shell during the presentation.


Preschool Classroom Visits

Invite a naturalist from Knoch Knolls Nature Center to visit your preschool during the winter months!

  • Offered December through March
  • Currently offered for preschool classrooms only
  • 45 minute presentation
  • Includes a live animal
  • Registration begins the first Monday in November
  • Classroom visits must be booked a minimum of two weeks in advance

Eco-Club and Career Day Presentations

  • Available during the school year
  • For elementary through high school students
  • Career Day presentations conducted by an Interpretive Naturalist 
  • Help with specific topics for Eco-Clubs; presentations for Eco-Clubs
