Public Open House to Update ADA Transition Plan Scheduled for April 8

Tuesday, April 8, 2025

Who: Naperville Park District invites residents and community organizations to share their thoughts regarding accessibility across the District at two public open house events. For residents who would like to provide input but are unable to attend either of the in-person events, the Park District will provide the ability for residents to leave their comments via the District’s website beginning on April 9th through April 25th.

What: The input gathered during the public open house will assist the Park District in updating its ADA Transition Plan (ATP). The main purpose of the ATP is to ensure that accessibility issues continue to be identified and addressed across the organization and the park system. The plan is reviewed and revised periodically, and the District determined it was time to update the last edition from 2014.

When: The public open house events are scheduled for Tuesday, April 8 at 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. There will not be a presentation given during either time slot.

Where: The open house events will be held at Fort Hill Activity Center, located at 20 Fort Hill Drive, in multipurpose room #1.
