Thursday, April 23, 2026
Naperbrook Golf Course hosted 72 golfing pairs on Saturday, April 18 for the Partner Best Ball Challenge – the first event of the 2026 Brooks Tournament Series – presented by Woody Buick GMC. The top teams finished as follows:
| Position | Name | Name | Score |
| 1 | Raghu Ramanathan | Vijay Sundararajan | 63 |
| 2 | Brien Gerber | Greg Cornwell | 65 |
| T3 | Brandon Kowalczyk | James Gedvilas | 66 |
| T3 | Phillip Morton | Brayden Morton | 66 |
| 5 | Rick Ose | Brett Nelson | 67 |
Raghu Ramanathan and Vijay Sundarararjan, two Naperville natives, won the tournament with a score of 63, followed by Brien Gerber and Greg Cornwell for second place. The tournament was scored in a Best Ball Twosome format, meaning the lowest score of either golfer was the recorded score for each hole.
“The overnight storms, cool temperatures and gusty winds couldn’t put a damper on the season opener,” said Naperbrook Head Golf Professional Joel Wallin. “Despite the elements, the level of play was outstanding. Raghu Ramanathan and Vijay Sundarararjan captured the title with an impressive 9-under par 63 – a remarkable score given the weather conditions.”
The next event of the Brooks Tournament Series is the Brooks Team Championship at Naperbrook and Springbrook Golf Courses on Saturday, May 16 and Sunday, May 17. Registration for the event is in progress.
