Park Board Recognizes Outgoing Commissioner Mary Gibson

At its April 24, 2025 meeting, the Naperville Park District Board of Commissioners recognized Commissioner Mary Gibson for her four years of service as a park board member. 

Since 2021, Gibson oversaw many of the District’s accomplishments, first as Park Board Vice President and then as Park Board President – an office she held for the past three years. Additionally, she achieved Master Board Member status through the Illinois Association of Park Districts (IAPD) during her tenure. Gibson will begin her new role as a Naperville City Council member in May.

At the May 8th Park Board meeting, newly elected commissioner Aishwarya Balakrishna will be sworn in along with Rhonda Ansier, Leslie Ruffing, and Alison Thompson who will all begin new four-year terms.
