Naperville Park District, Wintrust, and Naperville Bank & Trust officially celebrated the naming of the synthetic turf field at Knoch Park, “Wintrust Athletic Field.” The event was held in the afternoon on Thursday, July 11 near the synthetic turf field at Knoch Park, located at 724 S. West Street. Park Board President Mary Gibson and Naperville Bank & Trust Market President Grant Cowen formalized the partnership with remarks prior to the cutting of a specially branded ribbon featuring logos of the Naperville Park District, Wintrust and Naperville Bank & Trust.

The naming of the field is part of a 5-year sponsorship agreement between Wintrust/Naperville Bank & Trust and the Naperville Park District. During the length of the agreement, the synthetic turf field at Knoch Park will be known as “Wintrust Athletic Field.”

“The Naperville Park District is pleased to expand our partnership with Wintrust/Naperville Bank & Trust by officially naming the synthetic turf field at Knoch Park,” said Brad Wilson, Executive Director of the Naperville Park District. “This agreement is the first of its kind for the Naperville Park District and we look forward to continuing to work with Wintrust/Naperville Bank & Trust to support the Naperville community and provide the resources that our residents need.”

A newly installed sign is located on the west side of the field along West Street, which identifies the field name as well as highlights the partnership between the Park District and School District 203. This connection is not only pertinent to the synthetic field, but Knoch Park as a whole, as the park is located adjacent to Naperville Central High School.

According to Cowen, “Naperville Bank & Trust has been a longtime supporter of the Naperville Park District. As their official banking partner, we are excited to expand our partnership to include Wintrust Athletic Field; we also are proud to be the presenting sponsor of the Park District’s Fee Assistance program.”
