Naperville Park District Police to Participate in “Cop on a Rooftop” Fundraiser May 15
Thursday, May 7, 2026
Naperville Park Police will join local law enforcement precincts throughout Illinois in the “Cop on a Rooftop” fundraiser on Friday, May 15. Park Police officers will be posted on top of the Dunkin’ Donuts located at 1991 Brookdale Road in Naperville from 5:00 a.m. to noon.
During the 23rd annual “Cop on a Rooftop,” police officers across the state will stand on top of different Dunkin’ Donuts locations to raise money and rally support for Special Olympic athletes in Illinois. This is a fun and unique event to raise funds for the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) that precedes the Special Olympics in June. During the fundraiser, Naperville Park Police will be selling merchandise, such as shirts, hats, pins and raffle tickets, to help raise fund for Special Olympics Illinois. In 2025, Naperville Park Police raised close to $3,000. Every donor, whether through a purchase or direct contribution, will receive a coupon for a free donut. For those unable to attend but would still like to donate, donations can be made online on the Park Police’s fundraising page.
Naperville Park Police’s support for the Special Olympics spans over 15 years as part of their commitment to community engagement and inclusion. Their participation strengthens the bond between law enforcement and the communities they serve as well as promotes respect, acceptance and equal opportunity for individuals with disabilities.
