Naperville Healing Field of Honor Returns to Rotary Hill November 7-12

Who: Naperville Park District, in collaboration with Operation Support Our Troops – America, Naperville Responds for Veterans, Naperville American Legion Post 43, Judd Kendall VFW Post 3873, and a number of other community organizations and individuals, will host the community’s fifth Healing Field of Honor.

What: The Naperville Healing Field of Honor is a free, multi-day event where 1,500 American flags will be displayed on Rotary Hill creating a breathtaking tribute to military veterans, active service members and their families. In addition to the flags, a replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial will be displayed.

When: The 2025 Healing Field of Honor will take place from Friday, November 7 to Wednesday, November 12.

Event organizers will hold a brief opening ceremony at Rotary Hill on Thursday, November 6 at 5:00 p.m.

A Veteran’s Day Observance will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 11.

Each night, an Honor Guard will sound “Taps” at 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. and conduct a three-volley rifle salute at 8:00 p.m. in memory of the fallen, signifying “duty, honor and sacrifice.”

Where: The flag displays, events and ceremonies will be at Rotary Hill, located at 443 Aurora Avenue adjacent to the Paddleboat Quarry.
