Naperville Bank & Trust (NB&T), a Wintrust Community Bank, was named Best Friend of Illinois Parks for 2025 by the Illinois Association of Park Districts (IAPD). NB&T was nominated by the Naperville Park District and received an award at the 2025 Best of the Best Awards Gala on Friday, October 24, held at the Chevy Chase Country Club in Wheeling, IL.
Naperville Park District nominated NB&T for the mid-sized business category’s Best Friend of Illinois Parks award for its longstanding partnership and support of the Park District and everything it provides to residents. NB&T has demonstrated its commitment to the District and the community through its volunteerism and by serving as the presenting sponsor of the Fee Assistance Program - a Naperville Park District initiative designed to make recreation programs more accessible to residents in need. Additionally, NB&T is the Naperville Park District’s official banking provider and entered into a 5-year agreement in 2024 to name the synthetic turf field at Knoch Park, “Wintrust Athletic Field.”
“The Park District is grateful for Naperville Bank & Trust’s partnership, and they are more than deserving of this recognition,” said Executive Director Brad Wilson. “Their organizational values of serving and enhancing their community connects with the Park District’s mission, and we look forward to continuing to work with them to support the recreation needs of our residents.”
The Best Friend of Illinois Parks award one of 10 awards given by the IAPD every year. It is divided into three subcategories for small businesses, mid-size businesses, and large businesses. The award is given to a business or corporation that has demonstrated exemplary support of a local park district, forest preserve, conservation, recreation or special recreation agency.
