At their December 8, 2022 meeting, the Naperville Park District Board of Park Commissioners voted to adopt the 2023 Budget and appropriation ordinance. Prior to the meeting, the draft budget was posted on the District's website for a 30-day public review period.

Additionally, the District released the 2023 Budget Snapshot, a brief, reader-friendly overview of the Park District's 2023 budget, major goals and capital projects. The 2023 Budget Snapshot, the complete 2023 Budget document and other financial reports are available at www.napervilleparks.org/acfrbudgettreasurersreport.

The District's 2023 budget includes capital funding to renovate playgrounds at four parks and to redevelop the skate facility at Centennial Park. Two new parks are slated to open in 2023: Naper Commons Park, with a playground, basketball court and performance pavilion and Heritage Place Park, with a playground and shelter. Additionally, the Rothermel Family Pickleball Courts will be completed at Frontier Sports Complex and the Frank J. Rus Pavilion will be constructed at Knoch Knolls Park. Another highlight of 2023 will be the reopening of Springbrook Golf Course following the major renovation work completed in fall 2022.
