Magical Starlight Theatre to Hold Cast Auditions for Shrek the Musical

Who: Magical Starlight Theatre, a Naperville Park District program, is a community theater company whose mission is to create quality family-oriented theatrical productions; to develop a creative, supportive environment for artists; and to expand their community connection through the arts.

What: Magical Starlight Theatre is holding auditions to cast their January 2026 production, Shrek the Musical. Based on the popular film Shrek, this show follows the tale of an unlikely hero who finds himself on a life-changing journey alongside a wisecracking Donkey and a feisty princess who resists her rescue.

When: Auditions will be held Saturday, September 27 from 1:00-7:00 p.m. and Sunday, September 28 from 1:00-5:00 p.m. Callbacks for roles, if necessary, will be held on Tuesday, September 30 at 6:00 p.m.

Where: Auditions will take place at the Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center, located at 305 W. Jackson Avenue. Audition materials are available at www.magicalstarlight.org/auditions. 

Please note: Most, if not all, of the audition spots are now filled. If you were not able to sign up, you may walk in and wait to see if a spot opens due to a no-show. However, Magical Starlight Theatre cannot guarantee there will be any openings or time for additional auditions.
