Magical Starlight Theatre Presents Shrek: The Musical

Who: Magical Starlight Theatre, a Naperville Park District program, presents their January 2026 production, Shrek: The Musical. The show is directed by Anna Marie Ahonen and stars Kevin Loeper as Shrek, Mary Ann Shurilla as Princess Fiona, and Richard Swierzewski as Donkey.

What: Based on the animated feature film, Shrek, the story follows an ogre name Shrek and his journey through the Kingdom of Duloc to rid his swamp of banished fairy tale creatures. Along the way, Shrek befriends Donkey and Princess Fiona, and the trio share a hilarious adventure together where they learn to accept themselves for who they are.

When: The second weekend of performances are Friday, Saturday and Sunday, January 16-18

Where: All performances will take place in the Naperville Central High School auditorium, located at 440 Aurora Ave, Naperville, IL.

How: Tickets for Shrek: The Musical can be purchased online at www.napervilleparks.org, by phone at 630-848-5000 or during regular business hours at the Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center or Fort Hill Activity Center. Advanced tickets can be purchased for $20 until 4:00 p.m. on the Friday of the performance weekend. Afterwards, tickets must be purchased at the door for $23 each.
