Knoch Knolls Nature Center Presents “Terrific Turkeys” Nov. 18, 20-22

The Naperville Park District's Knoch Knolls Nature Center will host Terrific Turkeys on November 18 and November 20-22 as part of the Nature Discovery Days program--a series of free, self-guided activities for families.

"Kids and their parents will enjoy learning about turkeys through fun, hands-on activities," said Nature Center Manager Angelique Harshman.

Easy instructions and materials are available for families to participate in any or all of the following:

. Learn about turkey wattles, snoods and beards

. Make a turkey craft

. Try a turkey caller

. Play turkey games

. Read books about turkeys

. Touch turkey feathers

Please note that no live animals will be present in the room. No registration is required; a parent must accompany children to the event.

Terrific Turkeys will be held in the River Room at Knoch Knolls Nature Center, 320 Knoch Knolls Road, from 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 18 and from 9:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, November 20-22.
