Knoch Knolls Nature Center 10th Anniversary Event Set for September 28

Who: The Naperville Park District invites the community to the Knoch Knolls Nature Center’s 10th Anniversary Celebration, as well as the official opening and dedication of the Frank J. Rus Pavilion at Knoch Knolls Park’s upper grove.

What: The Knoch Knolls Nature Center event celebrates a decade of environmental education with a variety of nature-themed activities for all ages and giveaways while supplies last. The new pavilion will be dedicated in honor of Frank Rus, a longtime Naperville resident and generous community donor who had an affinity for nature.

When: The Frank J. Rus Pavilion ribbon cutting is set for Saturday, September 28 at 9:30 a.m. The anniversary celebration event is 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.

Where: Both events will take place at Knoch Knolls Park, both inside and outside of the Nature Center located at 320 Knoch Knolls Road. The Frank J. Rus Pavilion ribbon cutting will take place in the upper grove of Knoch Knolls Park, located on the south side of the DuPage River and accessible from the pedestrian bridge.
