S4 Episode 01: Fitness, Fun, Friends and Learning for Adults 50
Monday, June 25, 2018
Program Manager Lorraine Ouellette invites adults 50 and up to enjoy free or low-cost activities, classes and resources that can lead to better health, fitness, social connections and lifelong learning.
Quotes from the podcast episode:
"Seniors are hungry for knowledge. Our free, informational seminars are very well-attended, for example, the seminar on inflammation had 76 people attend. Not only do these programs satisfy a need for learning new information, but they also help fight the problem of isolation. Sometimes, just getting out of the house and coming to the Park District to attend a program is a step in the right direction.
If anyone wants to stop by, I'd be more than happy to take them on a tour and explain all of the offerings we have for our seniors."
