Community Job Fair to Start the New Year on Jan. 7 in Naperville
Tuesday, January 3, 2023
Job seekers will have an opportunity to connect with representatives from Naperville area businesses and the Naperville Park District at the annual Community Job Fair immediately after the holidays. The Job Fair is co-hosted by Naperville Park District and KidsMatter and takes place from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 7 at Fort Hill Activity Center, 20 Fort Hill Drive. This is a free event and is intended for a variety of job seekers, from high school students (ages 15 and up) to senior adults.
In addition to the opportunity to speak directly with hiring managers about specific jobs, attendees also will be able to have their resume reviewed, participate in a mock interview, receive information on financial literacy and visit with industry experts.
"We are grateful for the sponsorship of Nicor Gas and for our additional partners, including the Rotary Club of Naperville Sunrise, the Career & Networking Center and the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce," said Nina Menis, CEO and executive director, KidsMatter.
"This is a chance for high school and college students to begin securing summer employment or internships," said Katie Sepe, director of human resources for the Naperville Park District. "The 2023 Job Fair also will include a couple of full-time openings and opportunities for retirees and other adults seeking part-time work. For example, park maintenance and golf course maintenance positions at the Naperville Park District can be ideal for retirees who are looking for a flexible schedule. Additionally, positions at Fort Hill Activity Center and in recreation programs often have flexible daytime schedules."
