2022 Community Christmas Meal for Naperville Seniors and Families in Need
Tuesday, December 6, 2022
The YMCA and Naperville Park District, through the generous support of community donors and volunteers, will continue the annual tradition of providing a special Christmas meal for Naperville seniors and families in need. Volunteers will deliver meals to the homes of Naperville seniors and families on the morning of Saturday, December 24. Reheating instructions for meals will be provided.
To make a meal reservation, contact Eric Buonamici at ebuonamici@ymcachicago.org or at 630-579-5706 and provide your name, home address, phone number, email and the number of meals needed. There is a maximum of 2 meals per household. Those interested in receiving a meal are encouraged to make a reservation as soon as possible, as meals will be provided for up to 300 people and reservations may fill before the December 15 deadline. Recipients must be Naperville residents and must be at home on Christmas Eve between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and noon to receive their meal.
"The Park District is happy to partner with the YMCA and community donors to support the Community Christmas meal program," said Brad Wilson, executive director of the Naperville Park District.
Donations to help support this annual holiday initiative are being sought from community members. To make a donation, visit www.napervilleparks.org and select the online registration link. From there, click on the "Donations" tab at the top of the webpage; there is a link for the Community Christmas Meal.
"Providing Christmas meals has been a special community tradition for many years," added Stephanie Kuzelis, executive director of the Fry Family YMCA. "A heartfelt thank you to the donors and volunteers who bring joy to seniors and those in need this holiday season."
