IMPORTANT INFORMATION

I registered as an individual for the Naperville Indoor Soccer Program. What team will I be placed on?
Soccer Coordinators will organize teams based on the total number of individual registrants. Players are organized by school, although not guaranteed. 1 - 2 weeks prior to the start of the session, your assigned team's head coach will reach out with roster confirmation, game schedule and other important session information.

I registered a team. What are the next steps?
A Soccer Coordinator will provide you with your team's unique activity code. You will then send this code to your players along with provided instructions on how to register for the team. Non-residents will be charged an additional $20.  At this time, you can also ask for reimbursement for their portion of the team registration fee.

Does the Park District provide coaches?

No, all coaches are volunteers. At least (1) Head Coach volunteer is required. (1-2) Assistant Coaches can also be assigned to each team. Your volunteer coaching preference is provided during the registration process and volunteers are selected on a first come, first serve basis. Priority registration is NOT granted to Indoor Soccer Coaches.

What experience is needed to coach?
No previous coaching or soccer experience is required. A training manual with game rules is provided prior to the start of the season. Refs are provided for all games.

What equipment is provided or required?
The Park District does not provide any equipment to coaches. Game balls are provided at each facility.

Players should have an age appropriate soccer ball, water bottle, soccer socks, shin guards, and athletic shoes or indoor soccer shoes.

An NYS Reversible Game Jersey is required for the Naperville Indoor Soccer Program and can be purchased at the Fort Hill Activity Center for $18 (not included in registration fee).

Teams in the Naperville Indoor Premier Soccer League are required to source their own game jerseys. NIPSL uniform requirements are as follows:
- Each team member must wear the same jersey, shorts and socks.
- Each player must have a home and away jersey to prevent color conflicts with opposing teams.
- Each jersey must have a unique number on the back; no two players may use the same number.

Where and when are games played?
NIS games are on Saturdays between the hours of 8:00 am - 4:30 pm at Naperville Yard Sports Complex, 1607 Legacy Circle, Naperville, IL 60563. Games are played on reduced-sized fields to aid in player development.

NIPSL games are on Saturdays between the hours of 7:30 am - 3:30 pm at TOCA, 1740 Quincy Ave, Naperville, IL 60540. Games are played on traditional indoor fields with no out-of-bounds.

My player is registered for Naperville Youth Basketball. Can I register for Indoor Soccer as well?
Due to likely conflicts, we do NOT recommend registering your player for both Indoor Soccer and Naperville Youth Basketball.

Why does the Pre K / Kindergarten Age Division have a practice the first week?
Due to the fast-paced nature of indoor soccer, the first week of each session will be used to introduce our youngest indoor players to the synthetic turf field, the rules of the game, their teammates and their coaches. Each team will be allocated half an indoor soccer field at a designated time as detailed in the game schedule. It is up to the coaching team to manage and lead this 45-minute practice time. Coaches may utilize this time to learn their players' names, run some simple drills to get players used to the synthetic turf, and/or hold a short scrimmage with the other team present to learn positions, etc.
