Paved trails and sidewalks connect many of the park amenities in this large park and also connect to the Tall Grass Greenway Trail on the west via a pedestrian bridge over Route 59 and on the east across Book Road to Ashbury Park and Greenway. Skate Facility


The Naperville Park District Skate Facilities are located at Frontier Sports Complex and Centennial Park. Each facility includes several skating elements, such as half-pipes, quarter-pipes, fun boxes, rails and more.

The skate facilities are unsupervised and free of charge for non motorized skateboards, in-line skates and scooters to enjoy. SKATE AT YOUR OWN RISK. Bicycles are allowed at the Frontier Sports Complex facility only during designated bike hours.  Other wheeled or sliding devices are prohibited from using the skate facilities.

Each skate facility is open from 8:00 a.m. - sunset during the skating season.

Please note that the skate facilities operate year-round, weather-depending. The facilities will close for snow, ice or extreme wet conditions. Bikes have priority use of the Frontier Sports Complex Skate Facility on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 p.m. until sunset. In-line skates, skateboards and scooters will have priority use of the facility at all other times.

Capital Project
Frontier Sports Complex - Central Playground Renovation
The Park District plans to renovate the central playground at Frontier Sports Complex in 2024. Construction will begin mid-August and is expected to be completed by early November.
