Upcoming Improvements/Construction

The Naperville Park District conducted a virtual community outreach initiative to inform residents about improvements proposed for 2025. The letter below outlined a project proposed at Carol Acres. 

The shoreline of the pond is not healthy and is causing erosion into the stormwater basin. To prevent future erosion, invasive plant material, including trees, will be removed around the shoreline. Additionally, the slopes will be stabilized, and native vegetation planted to anchor the shoreline soil in place.  Some new trees will be planted throughout the park once the work is completed.
