Lobbying Associations
The Naperville Park District Board of Park Commissioners' Legislative Committee monitors legislation at the local, state and federal levels to stay abreast of issues that may affect the Park District. The District is a dues-paying member of the Illinois Association of Park Districts (IAPD) which conduct legislative advocacy initiatives primarily at the state level, and the National Park and Recreation Association (NRPA), which advocates for national park and recreation issues at the federal level.
On average, approximately 3% of IAPD and NRPA member agency dues supported legislative advocacy each year between 2016 and 2020 (see amounts below*).
