Facility Rental Requirements

Reservation requests follow a quarterly calendar; facility rentals may only be reserved 90 days in advance.
Rental requests are taken on a first come, first serve basis.Park Rental Request Form
Available Saturdays (10 am - 2 pm or 3 pm - 10 pm).
$50 non-resident application fee.
Renter must be at least 21 years of age.
One chaperone (age of 21 years or older) must be present for every ten minors.
No alcohol is allowed during indoor rentals.
Applicant is required to be in attendance for the entire event.
Deposit and 100% of the rental fees are due at the time of reservation for River Room Rentals.
Deposit and 50% of the rental fees is required at time of reservation for a Full Facility Rental. The balance is due 21 days prior to the event.
All rentals are subject to Naperville Park District Ordinance #641.
A Park District employee will be onsite for the duration of the rental.
No balloons or confetti allowed.

The Nature Center is a unique and picturesque destination for a wide variety of special events: showers, anniversaries, birthday parties, retirements, memorials, meetings and more. Rental options include one classroom (River Room) or one classroom, the exhibit area and the deck (Full Facility).

Facility Rental Options:

Classroom Rental

Saturdays, 10 am - 2 pm
Includes River Room only
Up to 46 people maximum (seating for 46 people)
$100/hr (3-hr min) with a $300 deposit.

Full Facility Rental

Saturdays, 3 pm - 10 pm
Includes River Room, exhibit area and the deck
75 to 100 people maximum (seating for up to 46 people in River Room only; additional seating available through a party supplier may be used on the deck and in the exhibit area (some restrictions apply)
$200/hr (3 hr min) with a $300 deposit.

Outdoor Park Rental Requirements

Reservations are required when:

Your group size is 25 - 100 guests.
If you want guaranteed use of a picnic area and your group is 24 or less.
If alcohol will be present; requires additional permits, fees and monitoring.
You wish to use the fire pit (City of Naperville Burn Permit also required).
You are bringing your own personal grill or use our grills.
If you plan to utilize outside vendors - certificates of Insurance required; other permits may apply.

The Lower Grove Picnic Area is one of two outdoor park rental options.

(The small, sheltered picnic area, within the nature playground, cannot be reserved.)

*Even if your group is less than 25, we recommend that you call us at 630-864-3965, before planning your party, to check if the picnic areas are already booked. Our picnic areas, in the Lower Grove and Upper Grove, are used for onsite programming including special events (dates vary), family campouts (June) and hayrides (Oct).

Use of the fire pit, in the Upper Grove, requires a reservation and burn permit.

Use of the old fireplace/chimney, in the Upper Grove, is not allowed.
