Naperville Healing Field of Honor 2025
Naperville Park District, in collaboration with Operation Support Our Troops - America, Naperville Responds for Veterans, and a number of other community organizations, businesses, and individuals, will host the community’s fifth Healing Field of Honor at Rotary Hill, located at 443 Aurora Avenue, from November 7-12. This is a free event where American flags will be displayed on Rotary Hill creating a breathtaking tribute to military veterans, active service members and their families. Additionally, a Veteran’s Day Observance will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 11 on Rotary Hill, and the playing of “Taps” is scheduled to occur at 5:00 p.m. each day. Everyone is welcome to visit and experience this awe-inspiring, multi-day event.
This year’s theme of the Healing Field of Honor is “Welcome Home,” and commemorates service members’ return from Vietnam approximately 50 years ago. In addition to the field of flags, a replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial will be displayed. Event organizers will host a brief opening ceremony at Rotary Hill on Thursday, November 6 at 5:00 p.m. where Vietnam Veterans will share stories and answer questions at the Vietnam Wall of Remembrance.
Individuals and businesses can also purchase a flag or help sponsor the event. Each flag purchase includes a tag that buyers can personalize with a message for those being honored. Purchased flags can be picked up at the conclusion of the event for individuals to display at their homes. All proceeds will benefit the programs of Operation Support Our Troops-America and their mission to support and assist service members and their families.
