Nature Discovery Kits - Fun with Fireflies

July is firefly month and adult fireflies typically light up the skies in June & July in northeastern Illinois. Use our Fireflies Nature Discovery Kit to learn about local fireflies and their bright flights. Pick up location: Knoch Knolls Nature Center. Please wait until you receive an email to pick up your kit. This kit is designed for families with up to 4 children.

Available June 2 - August 29

Take home kit includes:

• Background information on fireflies
• Coloring/activity sheets
• Book list
• Flashlight/firefly game
• Materials for four (4) firefly crafts
• A firefly matching game

Items not included: crayons or markers, scissors, and tape. Additional craft materials available for an extra fee.

Please note: An email confirmation will be sent when your kit is ready to pick up.

$18 per resident family; $27 per nonresident family
