During the summer the sound of cicadas, grasshoppers, crickets, and katydids fill the air! Snowy Tree Crickets are sometimes called "Thermometer Crickets" because you can estimate the temperature using their chirps! Learn about this singing insect and more through fun hands on activities, games, crafts, books, and more!

• Designed for families with children ages 4-10, but all ages welcome.
• Free drop-in program
• Self-guided activity stations
• No registration required
• At least one adult must attend with each family
• Located in the River Room (classroom)
  • Monday - Friday, 9 am - 12:30 pm & 1:30 pm - 4 pm
  • Saturday, 9 am - 2:30 pm
