Butterflies and moths make up a huge portion of the insect world! With over 160,000 moth species and 17,500 species of butterflies worldwide, you are bound to see at least one anytime you head outside in the warmer months. Investigate the difference between these two types of winged insects, learn how they are key contributors to pollination, make a fun craft and read butterfly and moths books during our family-oriented hands-on activities. Please note: No live animals will be present during this program.

• Designed for families with children ages 4-10, but all ages welcome.
• Free drop-in program
• Self-guided activity stations
• No registration required
• At least one adult must attend with each family
• Located in the River Room (classroom)
  • Monday - Friday, 9 am - 12:30 pm
  • Saturday, 9 am - 2:30 pm
