ACFR / Budget / Treasurer's Report
Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR)
State Law and local ordinance requires the District to complete a set of financial statements that are presented in conformity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) within six months of the fiscal year.
The report is a culmination of the past year's financial activity and is the formal mechanism used to communicate to the public and other interested parties the financial status of the District. These financial statements are audited by a licensed, certified public accounting firm. The District's fiscal year runs January 1 through December 31.

Certificate of Achievement
The District has received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting award from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) since 1991. This award recognizes organizations that go beyond the minimum requirements of GAAP to prepare a report that evidences the spirit of transparency and full disclosure.
Budget Snapshot
The budget snapshot, is a concise overview of the key elements that make up the District's budget. It also provides helpful highlights for residents regarding how dollars are spent and the projects and initiatives that the District plans to accomplish in the coming year.

Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Reporting
The Government Finance Officers Association has given an award for Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Reporting to the Naperville Park District for its Popular Annual Financial Report every year since 2012. The Award for Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Reporting is a prestigious national award recognizing conformance with the highest standards for preparation of state and local government popular reports.
