All parks are given a unique ID that begins with a number.  That number correlates to the Planning Area in which it resides.  Open space not yet owned by the Naperville Park District but awaiting conveyance are given a temporary ID beginning with 9.

Thor Guard Lightning Prediction System
The signal is activated by threatening weather. You will hear one long blast of the horn and see a flashing light on top of the device. When the signal activates, all activities must be suspended and patrons must SEEK SHELTER IMMEDIATELY.

Once the threat of severe weather has passed, you will hear three short bursts from the horn. This indicates that activities can resume.

This system is not fail-proof. Take shelter immediately when lightning threatens even if a signal has not sounded.

Remember: One long blast, seek shelter fast. Three short sounds, it's safe to move around.
