The Naperville Park District offers both Regular and Short Term employment opportunities as well as Internships. Under each section, the department or facility for which there are open positions is listed below. Open position listings can be viewed by clicking on a department or facility. To apply for a position, click on the position title to access the online application process.
Upon completion of the online application, a confirmation of receipt e-mail is sent to the address provided on the application. Once the confirmation message is received, the applicant can presume the application and corresponding materials have been successfully received by the District.
Please note there is a thirty (30) minute time limit in completing the application. Once the time limit is surpassed, the applicant will lose all information and receive an error message. If the applicant experiences an error message for reasons other than surpassing the time limit, he/she should contact itdepartment@napervilleparks.org for assistance.

Regular Employment
Regular employees are generally scheduled to work at least 1000 hours per year and a minimum of 20 hours per week at least 50 weeks per calendar year. Regular employees are eligible for insurance and time-off benefits.

Short Term Employment
Short-term employees generally work less than 3 quarters out of the year, and are ineligible to receive employee insurance benefits other than those mandated by the state or federal law regardless of hours worked.

Internship Opportunities
The Naperville Park District is interested in enthusiastic, self-motivated college students who are looking to gain experience in their respective field. Our 12-week summer program consists of a 40-hour work week, with an hourly rate based on qualifications. Summer internships run May through August.
We have already begun the hiring process for the summer 2010 internship. The next internship opportunity will be in the summer of 2011. If you are interested in pursuing an internship opportunity with us in 2011, please check our website for postings in December.
